This April has had its share of teasing, tricks, and April Fools. Sometimes I was the one giving a laugh, other times I was the one receiving. All in the spirit of play.
However, putting FOOLing aside, April (more specifically, the last 30 days, since March 15th) has also been FULL. Here are some pictures to show you what kind of stuffing this bear of a month has had.
Behold: April (In Pictures)
Act I: Curitiba and Witmarsum
Act II: Morretes
Walking across the bridge; I got off on the wrong bus stop and had to backtrack on foot to get to my relatives’ house
Rural scene I passed along the way
Another point of view
Don’t eat the seeds!
Act III: Maringa
On the way to Maringa with my church’s youth group (church visiting trip)
I have arrived, Maringa, I have arrived
The famous cathedral of Maringa (the tallest in all South America)
See those four holes on top? If you come at the right time, you can take the stairs all the way of there to get a view of the city… it was under construction when I went 😦
Zambayon… egg cream, orange, cloves, cinnamon, port wine, and almond crunch
The zambayon along with “chocolate amarena” or chocolate cherry ice cream
This cute guy welcomes you at the front of Inga Park
One of many colorfully painted benches in Inga Park
See that tuft of gray fur near the bottom of the tree? That is a mini-monkey. I’ve been wanting to see such a monkey in the wild for years. Thanks, Lord.
Our hotel was on Av. Duque de Caxias, near the cathedral in the grass-surrounded semicircle
I was impressed by the “Disinfected” banner on the toilet seat cover and the stickers on the toilet paper which assured me that they were brand new
My first visit to McD’s in over a year… and I got my beloved FRIED banana and apple pies; Brazilian McDonald’s, it’s been too long
Cathedral at night
Cathedral and moon (I am told it turned to blood two nights later)
A pic from the service we attended in Maringa during our visit
And that’s all folks!
